I think this is going a little too far. White people also make pancakes. We just had them yesterday with real maple syrup. I'm sure people of color make a like them too.

And Aunt Jemima could be a paid house keeper or maid, not a slave. I can't see how anyone can read that into it. Black women do work as housekeepers and maids. That's nothing wrong with that.
