Mt. St. Olivet literally shared a fence in the backyard of my house. The owner I purchased the house from was an official of the nearby crematorium. The "rocks" that lined the tiers of the terraced back were not rocks but marble chunks that he probably got from the monument cutter. The cemetery area on the other side of the fence had only a few gravestones compared to the proliferation in other areas of it and the view was concealed with ivy growing on the fence so most of the time you wouldn't be aware of what was there.
My parents are buried in a cemetery fairly close to my current home. I frequently pass within a stone's throw of their gravesite and I am always aware of them when I do.
