Hi, I just wanted to ask in this group since my extensive Google searches have yielded nothing.

My grandpa, Thomas (Tom) Burk, bred english setters in the 80’s. He was a judge at the grand national grouse championship, so I’m thinking he would not have been totally unknown to those in the breed.

Here’s what I do know:
- Bred in the NY/PA area around the 1980’s
- Kennel name was Hillbilly Kennels
- Dogs were supposedly AKC registered with KN in the RN

I’m looking to get a bird dog in the future and I think it would be super cool to possibly get one with his old dogs in the pedigree (assuming the current dogs are what I want, etc).
