According to Wikipedia....which may not be reliable...prior to her marriage to George of Denmark the future Queen Anne was known as Her Highness The Lady Anne and after he marriage she was known as Her Royal Highness The Princess Anne of Denmark.
So I do find it odd she wasn't a princess prior to her marriage and after her marriage she was a princess.
Where did her title of Princess come from? As written it sounds like she was a Princess of Denmark in her own right because according to the modern custom her English title would be Princess George of Denmark. Previous Message
No, they used to be called Lady. Princess ___ came about in the 1500s or so (Henry VIII's older daughter, for example). Previous Message
I believe king's daughters were always styled as Princesses of England.
So their brothers would have been styled as Princes. Previous Message
And that's the problem I have with many English royals...there isn't anything in my history books to the styles and titles of English Royals. I guess one who need to research original written sources to find out exactly how they were referenced. Unfortunately I don't have access to those sources. Previous Message

I can't find anything in my books or online at historical sites where he was called Prince. Nor can I find anything on how he was styled prior to the reign of Richard I. On Richard’s accession in July 1189, John was made Count of Mortain a title that became his usual style during the reign.
