I'm pretty sure they didn't expect it to be a "thing" on the Internet, which was their real mistake. Between trolls, ignorant people, and dumb people, social media is quite the toxic quagmire. Throw a Jim Cornette into that mix and you really have something, but it's all just static. 5 minutes later those same ones offended by this will be offended by something else someone else said. Cornette can use an Andy Kaufman line from 1978, and the ignorant ones and dumb ones will never know it, or even get the context of it. I don't think Cornette is broken hearted by this, there was another Twitter flap with him a few weeks back David Lagana called him up about, and he mentioned not being thrilled to have to go to Atlanta for a few days right before Christmas.
