Now, in his defense: This "Powerrr" episode in question was taped several weeks ago. Dave Lagana or none of the other NWA higher-ups or production team had an issue with his comment when they first heard it and approved it? They had weeks to remove it but chose not to. Isn't that an obvious perk of a studio taping? Or did they wait until Tuesday to decide that it was offensive?
Somebody (or many people) in the NWA chain of command really screwed up here and share the blame. They dropped the ball and made Cornette the fall guy.
It'll be interesting to hear Cornette's take on this in his next podcast.
