Today, I took my pots of Amaryllis out of storage, to go outside, and bring out of their dry, winter dormancy. Hopefully, they will begin blooming in about 6 weeks.
I have two Queen's Tears Friendship Billbergia nutans, plants. One has smaller flowers, and bloomed in winter. Here is the other, larger-flowered plant in bloom...

I lifted the cone from my BAY LAUREL,Laurus nobilis 'Sicilan Sunshine', fared after the winter. Although the leaves that touched the top of the cone got some damage, the plant, overall, is fine. I harvested some leaves, last fall, for seasoning, last fall. Bay Laurel is z8 rated...
