For the past two years, I have been storing the Amaryllis pots on their sides, in a dark room. I watched an online video about this method, and it seems to work. Three out of seven Amaryllis bulbs are showing a developing flower bud, at the bulb tops, already. The flower buds appear even before the Amaryllis flower stem grows. Right now, I have a piece of chicken wire over the pots, to ward off pesky squirrels.
Yeah, there are alot of plants commonly called "Laurels", but are not true Laurels. Quite a few are in the genus, Prunus, and are more closely related to stone fruits, like peaches, cherries, and plums, than they are to Bay Laurels

My Cast Irons are spreading, but in gaps. Notice the leaf outside the Wall o Water. It was covered BETWEEN the Wall o Water, and the rose cone, because it was too far from the rest of the clump.
Believe it or not, I spotted some collard plants, at Home Depot, today. They are asking 6 DOLLARS, for 6 pack of plants, or $4 for ONE collard start in a 3 inch pot.
How expensive!
I'm glad I started my own from seed. From a $2 packet, I could have grow way more than just 6 plants for those prices.
