These are Thailand Giant trunks that have been killed back to those stubs , but they are solid and ready for spring :
Here's my Tifton Hardy Palmetto with a nice big Gardenia behind it . The Palmetto has a little trunk going already :
Here's a first for me and that is that I've never seen Trachy inflorescences grow out in February . I don't remember the exact dates for seeing inflorescences but I know it's always been March and more likely in mid to late March . Only male inflorescences are visible now :
Has anyone else seen something unusual this winter heading into spring ?
