I wonder if hot dry conditions were part of the reason so many fruit fell off . It makes me think about watering it next time it's hot and dry and young fruit are maturing . Maybe that storm was just a little extra prodding for fruit that were going to fall at some point anyway .
Possibly watering the tree during hot and dry conditions would've saved a lot of fruit .
It had so many flowers on it and young fruit I hate that so many ended up on the ground .
I'll learn more about how it fruits over time . I wish my wet period now had happened in early May instead of now .
