The funeral Service will take place on 10.02. at the Dom of Turin and afterwards he will buried in the Crypt of the Basilica di Superga. Also the late Duke of Aosta is buried there and so are many many members of the House of Savoys Previous Message

It would seem logical at this point that he will be interred where his own late father also chose to be laid - with their earliest ancestors in the Haute-Savoie. I suppose it's also posssible that the late Umberto II did not have the optioin at the time to be interred with other deceased Savoia kings in Rome, but I don't know if the lifting of the ban by the republican government in years since has changed the situation regarding burial. As far as who will be present at any funeral ceremonnies, wherever those do happen, you can probably be certain that you won't see any representatives from the Spanish RF or the immediate Aosta family present...for obvious past controversies...
