I guess we are very different because i look more to how people behave rather than putting their name under irrelevant claims to non-existing thrones.
Im glad in France the younger generation can be civil and have been seen on events pleasantly chatting with each other respecting different views on succession but joining together in celebrating their dynastic past. I hope in Italy we will see the same with the two branches of the Savoias. Previous Message
Who? I suppose I'm less impressed by superficial gestures than by the reality of the ongoing fact that both persons claim to be head of house of Savoia and rightful claimant to the non-existent Italian throne... Previous Message
Marlene posted a kind condolence message from the Duke of Aosta. I get the idea the two younger men are not as acrimonious as their fathers were. Previous Message
It would seem logical at this point that he will be interred where his own late father also chose to be laid - with their earliest ancestors in the Haute-Savoie. I suppose it's also posssible that the late Umberto II did not have the optioin at the time to be interred with other deceased Savoia kings in Rome, but I don't know if the lifting of the ban by the republican government in years since has changed the situation regarding burial. As far as who will be present at any funeral ceremonnies, wherever those do happen, you can probably be certain that you won't see any representatives from the Spanish RF or the immediate Aosta family present...for obvious past controversies...

Is anything known about the funeral plans? Previous Message
