Itr does however prove that Louis Philippe was his father's son and there had been some stories about the Orleans line.
Im wondering if someone from the Spanish line did also check his DNA to that of the three tested men. It could disprove claims that Queen Maria Luisa and Queen Isabel II had sons from lovers. Previous Message
I find this kind of DNA analysis so interesting. Linking 3 men alive today back to their great....great Grandfather who was a Monarch in the 17th Century. The fortunes of their families have changed so much in the time that has elapsed but the DNA remains the same and will go on as long as father begats son. Previous Message

DNA samples taken from Prince Sixte Henri of Parma, Prince Axel of Parma, and Prince João Henrique of Orléans and Braganza show that they have a common male-line genetic ancestor... the officially genealogy shows that this person is Louis XIII. Previous Message
In the English wikipedia page of Sixte Henri of Bourbon-Parma there is a line that in 2013 his descendant of from Louis XIII was confirmed by DNA testing.
I cannot remember any discussion about DNA testing any remains of Louis XIII and matches from within the family.
However if Sixte is a male line descendant of Louis XIII any rumours of Louis XIV being the result of an affair of Anne of Austria with Mazarin are proven to be untrue.
Does anyone know more about the DNA testing done on the Bourbons?
