Well, with all respect to the author, I really don’t consider some Argentinian journalist who has written a bio about Messi, the Argentinian football God, the appropriate person to write about a Spanish queen with proper rigour.
It seems Faccio claims that he has met Letizia several times and they had some personal conversations. Not only I don’t believe it but also the Palace has denied it. Apparently the Queen has been offered to collaborate with serious Spanish authors in a bio about her and she always has rejected the proposals due to several reasons, one of them being that her husband’s authorized biography must come first.
The Faccio book deals mainly with Letizia’s period in Mexico ten years before her wedding with The Prince of Asturias. Houndred of pages have been already written about it and I have now no interest in the past of the Queen with all her adventures (romantic experiences, laboral relationships, where did she live, what did she for a living, her friendship with the famous Mexican group Maná,the alleged nude pose and so forth and so on) all of them befitted for a young energetic woman in her mid-twenties who didn’t imagine for a second she would be in time Queen of Spain.
About her Mexican time, after finishing her Journalism degree in Spain, we know almost everything. I have no interest in reading it again. I already know it. R.
Thank you for letting us know, Rosa. I'm curious as to why you say you are not interested in the publication. Is it because you do not think the author is a serious one, or because he has a presumed bias?
After three years of delay, the book will appear next Feb 20th. THe author is Leonardo FAccio, an Argentinian writer and journalist (who also wrote a book about Messi!!! ).
I'm definetively not interested in the publication, but I confess I very much like the cover ! R.
