Had the crown of Navarre not been merged with that of France the succession would have gone from Louis XVI to his son Louis XVII and after his death to his sister Marie Therese Charlotte, Madame Royale. She would have been queen of Navarre as well as first lady at the court of her uncle Louis XVIII of France and her father-in-law Charles X. Neither of them would have been king of Navarre.
The Kingdom of Navarre had several Queens regnant. Had its crown not been declared as merged with the French crown, it would have passed to the daughter of Louis XVI, then to “Henri V” the comte de Chambord, and then into the Bourbon-Parma, then via Alicia de Bourbon-Parma to today's Spanish Borbón-Dos Sicilias.
