says to ALL: *I had worked out a pretty good path away from the campsite, that doesn't leave a trail. Like a dance across a couple of exposed roots, a few exposed rocks, a stump, and a balance-beam across a fallen branch.*

says to ALL: *This time of year, it's easy not to leave a trail through the kalana. Last year's fallen leaves are like a mulch, that decomposes more every day. Any trail I leave now will soon be obscured by nightfall, and by morning the mulch will settle into a new surface. Like slow quicksand.*

says to ALL: *I am tall, nearly 6', with long dark hair, about 130 lbs. I'm wearing a gray fur jacket, with most of the fur on the inside, grey being an excellent color to blend in with the shifting shadows that fill the forest. My leather slacks are a similar soft gray color, and I wear sturdy tuchuk boots. My slacks are tucked into my boots, and on the outside of the right boot is a sheathed dagger, 6" blade. The 11" blade quiva that is sheathed on a waist belt near my left hip, has a bosk-bone handle bigger than my hand, so the protruding butt of it would hit pretty hard. The bottom of the quiva sheath has a leather throng, which I have tied around my left thigh to keep the quiva close and quiet, and less of an impediment when I run. In my right hand I am carrying one of the weapons I obtained in Scagnar, a sort of miniature Torv-axe. This Torv axe is a training model, the kind that teenage boys practice with, about 20% lighter than a typical Torv-axe, with a smaller bearded head, and a shorter, 30" handle. I carry this weapon with my right elbow bent, so that the center of balance on the axe shaft rests on my right shoulder, with the blade behind me and the bladed edge facing upwards. In my left hand, I carry a light throwing spear, the kind that Turians throw from tharlarion-back, which I picked up when we were vising Ragnar. The spear has a 5' tem shaft of 1.25" diameter, and aflat acute-triangular dual-edged steel blade, 4" wide at the base, 9" long. I carry this weapon like it was a walking staff, the blade to the sky, using the butt end to test the ground ahead of me if I am suspiscious of traps, or the bladed end to lever aside low branches or hanging vines.*

says to ALL: *When I reach the site of the tabuk carcass, two days and nights have been plenty of time for Forest scavengers (rodents, birds, and particularly beetles) to eat away all the meat, particularly the really tough tendons beneath the skull which hold the tabuk horn in place. Basically, it's down to skull and bones now, and with a spot of luck, I should be able to harvest the valuable horn of this large male tabuk.*

says to ALL: *To get this horn off, one good strike with the bearded plane on the back of the axe-blade, that strikes just the fattest, strongest part of the horn right where it grows into the skull, should knock the whole thing off. It's all about precision, and I take a few moments to line up my stance so I can simply raise my arm laterally, then let gravity swing the heavy weapon for me, just using my arm like a pendulum to keep the swing on a straight course toward my target.*

says to ALL: *The horn comes off cleanly in one piece, actually flying about 30'. It's a big one, almost as long as my arm from fingertip to elbow. I stuff it down into my backpack, and head west to go and hide it closer to the coastal exchange point, where I will eventually trade it off. This also avoids heading directly back to my camp, and laying a second trail through the same area, which would be more likely to be found.*

says to ALL: *I set off at a loping run. I am eating pure protein, off the tabuk backstrap, and I have to burn off some fat and put on some muscle. I should be able to keep this pace on the trail, even with the axe and spear, for an ehn, before I get significantly tired.*

says to ALL: *I reach the treeline, near the coastal exchange point. I walk the beach looking for a particularly recongizable tree. I then take twenty paces towards the nearest AFrame, and dig a 3' deep trench in the sand, with a hand shovel from my pack, and bury the tabuk horn, so I can dig it up later for trade.*
