You have it exactly right, John. It's basically what is supposed to be the 1915 model (don't go by Pearson!) only without the vertical reinforcing. Lanternnet shows the cold lift going until 1914. The Lantern Collector's Newsletter issue on the Monarch puts the cold lift until 1913 which this lantern tends to support. (That would make one date that LCN got right) Best we can conclude at this point is that it's a solid 1914 or early 1915 date of manufacture.
I think you meant TALL (ring-tube) small fill 3H? Short small fills should all be plain tube with flat fount.
I really appreciate your collaboration in fine-tuning the monarch matrix. You are a vault of information and the only one I know who has more Monarchs than me! BB
