In the early 1930's Dietz issued a half dozen new lanterns with throw-back names. Sometimes called Depression Lanterns, these included the return of the Dietz Crescent and several of the old Ham models, acquired by Dietz in 1914, but made with Dietz tooling. Your lantern has that nice embossed clipper ship on the fount top. You may be able to read the production date on the center tube under the patent(s). Most that I have seen are dated 1933. If you see S-5-33 on the tube, that would be May 1933, for example. BB
