    Kevin, the Club (Jonny Vaughan) have publically stated that the cost would be £23m to £27m to build the Railway End, extend the Main Stand and build quadrants.

    They have also stated the money would be borrowed. Based on interest rates of 4%, then you are looking at a cost of circa £40m. They've also paused this project and rightly so.

    Mark Stott is not a multi billionaire, but even if he was, there is no way a wealthy individual would just stump up £23m to £27m. It ties up their capital and stops them investing in anything else - including his VITA projects. Investment doesn't work like that, the money will be borrowed and the Club need to deliver a return on investment.

    Championship Clubs will receive higher levels of TV funding, but their salary bills are astronomical. County will be making big losses at that level, Preston North End consistently lose £8m a year and they don't compete for promotion.

    The financial reward is getting to the Premier League and receiving the min payment of £100m - even if you get relegated, but it would be one hell of a financial gamble to get us into that league.

    There are still options the Club can look at. County can expand the ground, but IMHO, they shouldn't be spending £40m when you factor in interest repayments.
