To say that it's of no relevance how an animal is killed in the production of meat is an appalling statement. Whether you eat meat or don't no animal should have it's throat cut and be allowed to bleed out. This is an act of cruelty and has no place in the UK.
If it makes you sleep better at night knowing the animal whose flesh you consumed was ‘humanely’ slaughtered, then so be it.
There have been plenty of leaked stories showing misconduct at slaughter houses across the UK, with many animals in the videos quite clearly suffering horrific pain before slaughter anyway, so the moral high ground evaporates fairly quickly there.
At the end of the day, that animal is still dead. It was born to be slaughtered for your eating pleasure. To say you’re against ‘animal cruelty’ and then still eat meat that was brutally slaughtered anyway is hypocritical; there’s no other way to describe it.

Similarly your view that many illegal boat migrants are likely to be fleeing persecution when the majority of them are currently young men from Albanian who are arriving from "safe" European countries is ridiculous. The evidence is there that they are economic migrants , and worse , who are illegally bypassing normal immigration channels.
It isn’t a ‘view’ and the evidence isn’t that they are economic migrants. I provided you a source that quite clearly stated that, based on research from the Refugee Council, most asylum seekers crossing the channel on a boat were genuine refugees on the basis that the UK government granted them refugee status either at the point of application or at a successful appeal.
You deciding they’re economic migrants in the face of that doesn’t exactly disprove the research done.

Similarly to deny the reality of Pakistani grooming gangs in many of our major cities flies in the face of all data that is emerging that clearly documents the cover up scandals that have occurred over many years. Establishment figures and organizations protecting themselves from being called the sort of racist names you call people here to obscure the truth and minimise the horrible abuse of young vulnerable white girls - who are considered fair game by a significant number of predatory Asian males operating in groups.
You’d do well to show me where I denied anything like that. I’m not doubting it either; some of the reports are damning, but what you’re citing as ‘obscuring the truth’ for calling out racism wasn’t the catalyst for me calling Alicante’s racism out. Him saying Muslims ‘have about 10 kids each’ and want to ‘kill all infidels’ is racist stereotyping and, as I said before, defined on this board’s own terms and conditions as not tolerated:
“DISCRIMINATION Discrimination is not tolerated on this forum. Discrimination can take the form of the use of specific words or phrases or can be in the form of a general attitude towards an individual or group of people. For example, making a statement that all xyz people are criminals is discrimination on the basis of race is illegal and is unacceptable. Discrimination can be on the basis of race, sex, disability, religion, sexual orientation or political persuasion.”
To turn that into a point about well-established errors by local councils to act on grooming gangs is moving the goalposts from what was being called out as racism in the first place.

The abuse of children by white males exists of course but it should never be used to obscure these other realities.
And in the same vein, the abuse of children by Muslims should never be used to obscure the reality that the majority of child sexual abuse is perpetrated by white males.

The report you quote points specifically to the poor collection of relevant data in that regard. You only need to look at the pictures and ethnicity of offenders to appreciate a clear connection.
Again though, you’ve taken evidence from a source and decided you don’t like it and drawn a different conclusion that suits your argument. Whilst the report states that the data is a poor collection of data, it’s more reputable than saying ‘look at the pictures (you know, the ones they've decided to show you); they’re all brown’.
