Re: Living With The Virus.
To be honest, I don't know what to think any more. I've been in almost total "isolation" for almost seven months now. On the few occasions when I stepped out of my "bubble" I was aware of it for at least two weeks. I'm also aware of any people I come in contact with who have more public exposure than myself and they make me feel uneasy. I wear a mask on the few occasions I've been in a store or an enclosed space but I know its more for the benefit of others rather than myself. The type of masks used are no protection for the wearer and half the time even those are worn improperly. The masks themselves, if worn consistently, are known to create other health hazards. To my way of thinking, I would not have made a trip like yours although I fully understand your doing so. I don't know how bad Covid cases are in your area or the areas you visited but there is still no quarantine period within the ten days of your visits. Both George and I observed 14 days each before seeing anyone when we came back to NY. There is no doubt that Covid spreads easily but there are vastly different perceptions other than basic sanitizing as to the best approach and the accuracy of what's being reported. Each person or family has to decide their own path and protective measures.
