Assuming that the Commonwealth of nations might be an overall category also for seating of heads of state/government or ambassadors/high commissioners, what might be the protocols or rule of thumb in designating their seating inside the Abbey next month? For instance, would a nation that is fully independent - i.e, has its own president/monarch or other head of state, take a priority in front row seating over a nation that remains a realm with a high commissioner or other representative present? And then would there be other factors used to consider the seating within those categories of "realm" or "republic/monarchy"? For instance, how long they have been an active member of the Commonwealth itself?
