Fresnel lenses require a view-port to actually see the flame and clear ones are more pricey than the red. I recommend the most popular scouting lanterns of all time: The Dietz Junior, followed by the Dietz Little Wizard. Both are around 6 C.P. with 5/8" wicks and are abundantly available on ebay along with the Chinese made Dietz Junior (marked No.20), which is a decent working lantern generally found in new condition.
