Rayo 80? with shield?

Found this lantern in my grandfathers shed. it has a lever that lifts and moves the globe. One side says RAYO and the other says No80. I have looked because I have not seen one like this before and the ones I seen do not have a solid shield. Also that shield has a hole in it for hanging I guess. Any info or ideas as to its intended use? Age? etc.
