James, lets see if this helps clear up the confusion. In the PRISCO catalog that same lantern is called a #180, when SOCONY placed an order for PRISCO to make lanterns for them, they had them custom marked with the RAYO brand name and #80 as their model number, then SOCONY sold these and other RAYO branded lanterns and lamps or gave them to customers in sales promotions when they bought the kerosene SOCONY produced.
