JH Stone has patents on all of the dates except the 11/6/83 date. In the lantern patent CD that I have compiled, I can only find a lantern patent on that date to Charles J Higgins. JH Stone has 12 lantern patents that I know of. About half of the patents to Stone have the top retaining wire going under the bead at the top of the globe and the other half of the patents show the top retaining wire above the bead at the top of the globe like other manufacturers of hot blast lanterns. This model by stone looks like a cold blast, but is actually a bot blast lantern.
