Hi Dave, The TV series The Wild Wild West starring Robert Conrad and Ross Martin always had Monarch lanterns being used or in the background at the general store hanging in the front. Sometimes you would see up to 6 or 8 of them in front hanging. I have seen a couple cold blast hanging also. They were painted the Dietz blue. The first season were in black and white in 1965 and season 2,3,4 were in color. The Monarch were the prefured lantern for westerns. Other western shows also had the monarch lantern. Even some of John Waynes western movies had them. Steve.
