This photo was taken around 1950 by the St Paul(MN)Pioneer Press showing repairs to the streetcar tracks. We are on Marshall St looking west towards Minneapolis across the Lake St Bridge over the Mississippi River. As part of its franchise, Twin City Rapid Transit was responsible not only for the tracks but also for maintenance and plowing on all streets where the tracks ran. I see a nice array of protection here, including flags, hot-blast lanterns, and are those torches? The lanterns on the perimeter have red globes and the two in the middle are clear. As far as I know, no lanterns have yet been reported with a TCRT marking but I'd like to find one!
