FOK lantern-who made it?
Posted by Dave F on January 22, 2009, 4:15 pm
I have been collecting lanterns made for and sold by Farwell Ozmun Kirk Co. in St Paul MN. FOK was a huge hardware wholesaler located downtown near the Union Depot. I found this one at a model railroad show for $20. It is a top-lift D-Lite size, marked on the tank FARWELL OZMUN KIRK & CO. ST. PAUL No 2 BEST-EVR (Yes, ever is spelled evr) Can someone tell me who made this and the approximate date? The globe is unmarked. So far I have found one Monarch-sized globe embossed F.O.K. Co. and would like to hear from anyone who has seen other marked globes from this company. Thanks!
