I was outside earlier ...

I have a blocked ear and a wild birdsong sounded like a sheep bleating, LOL. For a minute I thought it was actually a sheep or lamb.

I have tinnitus and hear hissing all the time. I don't know what is real. It's a real pain in the neck.

I have Meniere’s disease and the hearing in my affected ear can distort things, too.

I know that I have to try to unblock it but I think that on some level I'm afraid of making it worse. I bought a new ear product that's supposed to completely clear it in 5 minutes. It uses a different process that the regular drops. Doctor's offices have a vacuum that they use or a currette loop for removing wax.

I seem to have more ringing in my ears lately the older I get. I don't know how you all don't go crazy. It drives me nuts.

Yeah, I heard "ma-a-a-a, ma-a-a-a" but LOL! I knew it had to be a bird because sheep don't climb trees.

What's scary is you don't know if there's a problem. The first time I started hearing ringing I called maintenance to tell them that my heating system was making noise. He came over to check and said he heard nothing. I thought he was crazy and then I asked several people in the building if they heard it. They looked at me like I was crazy and then when I went out I thought my neighborhood was going to explode. Then I looked it up on the computer and found out what it was. At night it's the worst.

The company with the new product that I told you about also make drops for ear ringing. But yours sounds really severe. It makes me wonder if ear ringing and tinnitus are two separate things.

I have severe hearing loss and I had it for years. Right now it's not that bad but when I lay down it's horrible. You do get used to it though. I'm not sure what you have but posting ringing and what I have is more of a hissing sound is tintiitus . Tintinitus (I know I spelled it wrong) usually happens when someone has severe hearing loss.

Above I meant most ringing and hissing is a form of tintinitus.

Thanks. But that's aging,

The instructions for the drops say to use the bulb to rinse the ear after the drops have been in. Pull the ear lobe out to the side and up, then squirt. Well, yesterday I decided to do it on and off (no rinsing as I haven't used the drops). When I did it this morning the ear popped. So that tells me that it'll ok to use drops. The ringing isn't as bad, too.
