I have severe hearing loss and I had it for years. Right now it's not that bad but when I lay down it's horrible. You do get used to it though. I'm not sure what you have but posting ringing and what I have is more of a hissing sound is tintiitus . Tintinitus (I know I spelled it wrong) usually happens when someone has severe hearing loss.
