It's not back to full strength yet, but it's doing really well! I still have a problem with a couple of fingers that are hard to straighten out first thing in the morning, but after a little bit, they are okay. I have to rub Vitamin E oil on the scars and do hand exercises. All in all, though, I can do everything I used to do. I just need to build up grip strength.

I think in July, they will do the other hand.

I'm glad your hand feels better. It's amazing what they can do now. I have carbon tunnel in my hand and when I have an attack I have unbelievable pain. My attacks for some reason decreased. I have to watch my moods. If I get angry I noticed I'm more prone to get an attack.

I heard that it is incredibly painful. I don't have carpal tunnel, thank goodness. I feel for you that you do. Mine are trigger fingers.

My sister had carpal tunnel surgery for trigger finger problems. If I have it all (I've been typing since 1975 job-wise in one form or another) I only get shooting pain in my wrists if I turn my hands a certain way. I credit that to my high-school typing teacher. We learned to type on non-electric typewriters and she was a bear about proper wrist placement when typing. She'd walk up and down the aisles as we were typing and if you were getting sloppy she'd point it out. I can still remember her name to this day.

I don't have carpal tunnel. I wasn't great in typing class, either, LOL! I'm not sure if this is anything related to the kinds of work I did, or if it's something else. Sure is weird, though.

I remember typing class, though. We were lucky enough to have electric typewriters, and mine was pica.... Heck I remember even in computer class they talked about proper posture and wrist placement, and they even had all kinds of things liek wrist rests and ergonomimc desk pads and all.
