YOu sitting with him helps more than you know. He probably naps while you are gone. that's what Mine do when I am gone. Just talk to him a lot, and play music, and leave some music on for him while you are gone. I have a radio, I just put it on a station, sometimes a classic, sometimes NPR, while I'm gone.

If I forget, it sounds so quiet when I get home.


Just do your best. Max knows you love him, even if he isn't tame. And when you're there, he knows he has a flock, he's not alone. Even when you're gone, when you come back, he knows it, and he knows you're there for him. Always remember that.
