I'm really bombing out with Max. I've been having doctor appointments[ all month so the schedule has been not consistent. Like tomorrow I'll be gone all day so he has to stay in the cage by himself.

He seems to be getting more and more depressed. Even when I'm home he either sits in one spot on his cage outside. He just seems so depressed. I'll sit with him on Saturday and Sunday, not that that will cheer him up.

I started partially covering his cage at night so I can get him used to the covering the cage when it gets cold in the winter. Another change, another terrifying event.

I think anyone outside of this group would think I've lost it. I have to try and be more consistent with maintaining a consistent schedule. I try to sit in the same room with him for at least six hours at a time when I don't go out for the day.

I'll try looking for new toys that he'll like.

P.S There was a bear right by the entrance of the complex at 7:30 at the beginning of the week. I just missed him but people took photos.
