I posted a month ago that blue bird my parakeet passed at age 11. I have another male budgie aged 5 who lives in the bird room with 3 cockatiels. I have the opportunity to get another rescued male parakeet after his best friend passed. The bird rescued was left in a cage with his friend on the streets and my friend rescued them. Is it a good idea to take in my friends parakeet to keep mime company? He seems happy now but I though he might need a new friend of the same feather.
