The junior Swedish royals (Prince Carl Philip and his wife) did not receive Danish decorations during the state visit last week. I had expected them to receive the Grand Cross of the Order of the Dannebrog, which was awarded to senior government officials and courtiers taking part in the visit.
I tried to find examples from previous Danish visits to other monarchies, but they are now quite a few years ago. Princess Märtha Louise of Norway received the Elephant during the visit to Norway in 1993. Are there other junior royals who have received Danish decorations? The sisters of the present Spanish king or family members in the Netherlands or Luxembourg?
