A bit odd for a noble family to have four names, isn't it? It seems that they added a couple of names from extinct noble families.
When an entailed estate was inherited through a female line, the next male owner was obliged to combine his own surname with that of his wife or mother, through whom he had inherited the estate. This has happened several times in the Vind family, which first became Juel-Vind, then Krag-Juel-Vind and finally Krag-Juel-Vind-Frijs. (A few years ago Queen Margrethe had a lady-in-waiting from this family).
