At this stage i guess they will never get married, Carina is 51 years old so unlikely to ever have children. There is no need for them to get married as she is accepted by the entire family including the Scandinavian courts as his partner.
I do wonder what Gustav will do with his legacy. Will he leave it to his successor as Furst or is he going to leave things to his nephew Richard. He might even adopt his nephew to be his heir but im not sure if the Sayn-branches would accept that.
At the same time Gustav might still marry someone who does fit the requirements and have children of his own to continue the line. That is getting more unlikely as time goes by but it's happened before that a middle aged man leaves his partner of many years and starts a new life with a younger woman.
Danish papers are reporting about the fact that a German Court has ruled that Prince Gustav is - indeed - the rightful heir to Berleburg estate. https://www.bt.dk/royale/bizar-royal-arvestrid-afgjort-tyske-prins-gustav-maa-beholde-sit-slot
Couldn't Queen Margrethe or maybe one of the Monarchs in the Benelux have enobled Carina Axelssons father? Or did Gustav's spouse have to be BORN a noble?
