Re: Denominations of Godparents
Usually sponsors or godparents that are of a Christian faith can be accepted in many Christian denominations. As long as one or two of them are of the denomination the baptism is in.
It's not as easy when the sponsor or godparent belongs to a different faith altogether or is an atheist.
This always confuses me. I don't know a lot about how godparenting customs work, but it seems odd that an Orthodox Christian can have Protestant and Catholic godparents. Are all denominations so inclusive?
Yes, Konstantinos-Alexios' godparents are King Felipe VI of Spain, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark, Prince Dimitri of Serbia, Alexandra Miller (former Princess Alexander zu Fürstenberg) and Doris Robbs.
Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece and Denmark.
Ah yes. Wasn't that when Prince William was wearing a sling on his arm? Prince C-A has a reigning King, 2 heirs & a future heir as godparents.
