Between the weather and all, I'm just getting around to checking in. We didn't have a lot of snow but WOW!!! The wind was incredible! We kept our electricity on, and the cold was bitter! But, right now we are pretty moderate in temps and some days recently downright balmy.
We held off on getting together with son and grandkids until after Christas d/t the bitter cold and wind. We finally got together with everyone a few days ago.
Sure hope we have a better 2023 for everyone. FINALLY got a call from my lawyer that my mom's estate will be closing soon. WE had to take the lawyer her money $1800 (which I felt she didn't deserve but by law she is) I also had to pay some other attorney fees (who I don't even know or what they did) and Huntington Bank had a lean on mom's estate for get this... $150.00!!!! So those are all paid now, and all that needs to be done is a judge to say everything has been settled. It's been over 2 yrs!!! I will be so glad when I can finally get ahold of the money that is rightly mine. I actually paid mom's bills and utilities and taxes out of my own money just to be able to sell her place when she ran out of money and was in the nursing home.. Medicaid got the majority of the money. to settle her debt. If my 1st lawyer hadn't screwed me up and I had to go to another lawyer to finish it all, it may have been done sooner. Anyway, I'm in the home stretch and I'm ready to get all this mess behind me.
