It’s never getting developed is it. That temp roof will still be there in 5-10 years time.

The facilities and view in the RE are awful it needs a new stand.

It's temp that's all. It is for away fans. Apparently with two rows of safe standing, in order to comply with the CE safe standing.
It's to be a Marque type roof simularto Barrow's.

My pessimism thinks the same. If there was a suitable out of town plot we’d be off and moving into a Shrewsbury style soulless flat pack.

Is it possible that they are looking for an alternative ground that would be large enough with all facilities and then use Edgeley Park as the training centre. I am not in the know but just a guess.

No chance of moving to a new ground thankfully.

A) The club have publicly stated on numerous occasions that we won't be moving. They're not in the habit of lying about things.

B) If Stott and Co have baulked at a potential 80-90 million quid bill to redevelop the whole stadium, there's no chance they'll be paying 7 or 8 times that to build a new ground that, let's face it, will be shite in comparison to EP.

EP is nowhere near big enough for a training ground

Use the Cheadle end for Gym and indoor facilities, demolish the railway and pop side you then have a huge area as a training hub.

We already have 3 full-size pitches at the training ground we currently have, where just the first team train on a regular basis.

The new training ground plans are for it to be the sole training base for the club at every stage; it's simply impossible to provide that on the grounds of EP.

It’s a climb down. The RE and main stand developments were supposed to have started in Jan 2025. The pop side development was dependent on championship football.

Makes you wonder if a new ground is being considered or maybe they are abandoning the ground developments and EP will remain as it is due to costs. I think it’s the latter.

We could have been in the Championship now, but for a linesman crapping himself at Rectum and giving them a pen, when it was our free kick for the shove in his back.

Calm down. A new ground is out of the question. The land he has just bought is for housing and sports development, with rents and monies going to the Club.

Enough space to build a new ground ?

It feels like a significant moment for the future of this club. Build the new stands and this club (long term) can grow its fan base to an average of 13-15 thousand and establish its self as a Championship club. Do nothing and the ground continues to get worse and the fan base stagnates and then declines due to the poor experience for new walk ups. The club then becomes a bottom end league two club.

I think we have the 7th most expensive season ticket prices in the EFL… in one of the worst grounds in the EFL. You might get away with it for a few years but it can’t continue.
