Forthcoming meeting between the Club and Co-op board

The Supporters’ Co-Operative are arranging our next meeting with the club to discuss matters of interest to the supporters. Among the topics suggested so far are the following:

• Clarification on the 250-year lease on the ground with the Council. The agreement between the two bodies was announced over a year ago but has not been officially signed.

• Progress on the proposed development of Edgeley Park. The exciting vision for an expanded stadium was originally revealed last year, and a planning application lodged in June, but there has been very little news from the club since then.

• Club accounts to 30th June 2024. We are all delighted with the club’s progress on the pitch, but some of the figures involved give long-standing supporters cause for concern.

• The loyalty scheme for allocating away tickets in conjunction with the new ticketing provider next season, and how it will be implemented.

• Ticket pricing for next season.

• Spreading the cost of season tickets would be a very welcome development for families in particular.

• Ticketing arrangements for supporters who live well away from Stockport.

• The timing of away ticket sales to help those who work and aren’t able to get to the ground.

• A system for returning season tickets for individual games, perhaps for use by those who struggle to afford admission.

• The excellent in-stadium commentary service and the arrangements for returning devices after matches.

• Segregation of away supporters, particularly when they have use of the Railway End.

• The arrangements for use of the beer pre-order facility. While the machines are easy to use, the experience of collection is very mixed. Some users have reported difficulty with the collection arrangements, which are far from clear.

Can you ask the club to ask you to define loyalty and publish what you say in all their loyalty scheme literature? Either that or think up a different name for the scheme like Frequent Away Travellers Club.

Returning the device for the in ground commentary is easy enough now. You just handed to the guy who is on the door where the reception is.

Ask them this:

If the game was sold out v Lincoln, how come it was 690 less than a previous game?
Have we reduced the capacity at EP?

I think stillager has explained why the attendance was lower, but we are still seeing big gaps in the Cheadle End and Pop Side, when games are meant to be sold out. I'd say there are comfortably 200 to 300+ empty seats in these stands on a regular basis.

The Co-op will be asking the Club to look at a scheme where season ticket holders can sell their ticket back, if they cannot attend the game, so it gives others fans a chance to attend.

You have about a score of Concourse Hatters who stay in the bar. Add to that those having a Jimmy and you might get to 50 or so in the middle of the half.

Beginning of both halves and towards end of first half you get a lot on the bars and toilets so it depends when you are looking.

I also noticed last week that there were blocks of 2 3 or 4 empty seats together, as if people had gone on holiday during the school holidays.

But where were the empty seats in the 10,390 game?

Why was another block cordoned off between the two sets of fans?

The club have to give away teams a minimum of 200 covered seats, unless the away team agree for us not to and/or the EFL give special dispensation.

It may be that, where other clubs were happy to give up covered seats, Lincoln were not.

I think the reason was,because they gave Lincoln an extra block in the popside,also one block was tapped off for segregation,poor show on the clubs side as fans I know could not get any tickets,because the club told them it was asell out!

The attendance figure is different to the game selling out.

You could have 10,000 tickets on sale, sell them all and then only 9,500 turn up on the day.
