Always said barry and tanto should of started the season.
Why does tanto keep getting taken off just like barry did.

And also for those that think Ben is the bestkeeper in the league,well he's got the worst shot to saves ratio.
Let's see what some fan's think of Cosgrove after 5 games.
Challys subs worry me every game and again tonight it's been proven again sitting back,while in front and not in danger

I notice in the titles of your posts you are very keen to yell out that you attended a game (eg. On way home from Bristol amongst many others). Lots of us go, some people may not be able to afford it, get time off work etc, they are no lesser fans, and assuming they have watched on TV they probably have a more accurate opinion than those of us that can go due to replays etc

I suppose a last minute equaliser feels like a loss immediately afterwards. And I suppose it's only natural to criticise the players that have caused that "loss".

But after sleeping on it and having a quick look at the league table, I'd hope that you can see that those very same players have got us into that very good position in the first place.

Also is chally going to call a player out for not being good enough. If your happy with a striker that doesn't score fair enough.
But we've got a striker with almost the worst strike rate per shots,and a keeper with the worst saves per shots on goal,and people think I'm clueless,these 2 players are the ones people rave about

Quite ironic you accuse DUH of twisting things, when this is at least the third or fourth time in this thread alone when you've done that yourself.

DUH said "there's more to being a goalkeeper than shot-stopping"; he didn't say shot-stopping wasn't a goalkeeper's main job.

Your views for both Ben and Wootton are always at such a basic level and have no nuance at all and when someone else brings nuance to the argument you immediately drag it back down to that basic level. "GOALKEEPER STOP BALL; STRIKER KICK IN GOAL!" which nobody is disagreeing with but you just can't develop that point any further as if they don't do those things enough, you shit on everything about them and give them no credit for their part in anything else.

As I said earlier, in one of the many replies you've conveniently not replied to because you know I'm right, nobody in the team right now has scored more goals or contributed more assists than Kyle Wootton has.

If you'd just once in a while say "You know what, they've proved me wrong", perhaps you wouldn't appear as clueless.

Wrong; in all competitions, Tanto has 8 and Wootton has 9. In the league, Tanto has 5 and Wootton has 7.

Tanto has a better goals per minutes ratio but again, you've conveniently ignored everything else I've said and have reduced to your usual basic argument.

EDIT: Tanto's goal against Reading was widely attributed to MSH, but was in fact Tanto's so he has 9 (6 in the league).

As I advised previously, the stats I gave you were from this season.

The longest unbeaten run in the club's history is obviously an achievement of some sort, yes. I'm not sure what your point is though; are you saying Rusk deserves credit for that? Because if you are, by the same logic, you're admitting Ben deserves credit for the achievements I highlighted.

The Rusk stats just prove how limited use stats can be in football, If you want statistical proof of Rusks quality as County manager it’s very simple, compare it with the teams record as soon as he was replaced by a proper manager

What I ‘no’ is that no-one with even the slightest understanding of what’s going on in front of them can go to a County game and not see what the job is that Kyle Wootton does for County, or how well he does it.
Some players score loads of goals, and do very little else, they’re fantastic to have, others contribute in other ways, this doesn’t make them useless, it’s a team game.
As for Ben, he’s very obviously not the 25th best out of 26 keepers in the league, you’ve got one statistic, and are making yourself look a bit of a chump repeating it whilst ignoring all other evidence.

Home and away through the 70’s , 80’s and early 90’s wasnt following a winning team, then the non league obscurity wasn’t a winning team was it but I was there. You are referring to me missing some games a few years ago when due to financial constraints and family commitments I couldn’t get there, but you chose to label me a fair weather fan like the pillock you are.

As for ramming the pint down your throat that would be fun but I’d rather have a grown up conversation on why you are like you are, slagging off players for no good reason.

Agree. At the start of this season, how many seriously thought we could be challenging for automatic promotion at this point. Of course players make individual mistakes and if they make too many or don’t learn from them, they lose their place.
Knee-jerk reactions don’t achieve anything. Disappointing to lose 2 points last night, but get it in perspective. It’s nothing compared to languishing in National League North for 6 years.Get a grip!!

"people think I'm clueless"

People think you're clueless because you've been banging the same drum about certain players since we've been in non-league. You've said many times that you don't think Ben's is good enough for non-league, and yet:

2021/22: National League champion; team of the year; most clean sheets in the division

2022/23: 4th-most clean sheets in League Two (those above played at least 5 more games)

2023/24: League Two champion; team of the year; most clean sheets in the division

Any valid criticism of Ben you may have at this stage is tainted by the nonsense you've posted about him for years.

Your Wootton criticism too; the other week you said he was non-league level, never wins anything in the air and doesn't bring other players into the game, yet you had nothing to say during the 5-game winning run where he was doing exactly that. Not a single match-related post from you during that entire run, other than to mention the correct goalscorer. It's been explained several times on here that Wootton's role isn't just about scoring goals; everything about our style of play goes through him as the target man. Even then, he's got the most goals and assists this season aside from Louie Barry.

Your arguments never have any balance or any consideration that your scapegoats may have had a good game; even when they do, you'll find some obscure angle to criticise them anyway.

That's why people think you're clueless.

An odd choice of criticism towards a member of the defence that collectively prevented shots on target from occurring and irrelevant to my point; Ben wouldn't have achieved the things listed if he wasn't good enough for non-league.

Another case of people being too stubborn to admit you've been wrong about a player and instead just doubling-down in increasingly bizarre ways.

Talking to his defenders doss. You could see the difference the very first game he played this season. Only 2 people I know of don’t rate Ben, one of course is Bungle so he has an excuse owing to his total lack of football knowledge , but you don’t have that excuse so what is it with you and Ben ?

I don't know anything about football really,funny how you can hear Ben talking to the players from the main stand,yet everyone in lower tier 4 right behind can't. Think if a few more of actually went to games you'd actually hear what others say

Actually clown it is easier to see lips moving and gesticulations when somebody is facing you, you would be hard pushed to hear actual words used from either point, but you do know when he is saying something if he is facing you
