Great Display but empty seats !!

Really enjoyed today and should have won with that great second half display
I managed to get an extra ticket from Hadfield Hatter today but there must have been 200/300 empty seats in CE from my view in the main stand as well as 20 or so empties around me in main stand. The club really need to look at offering season ticket holders an easy option of giving up seats if a ST holder can't attend.

May be some of the empty seats were fans who have been affected by the flooding. But do agree about should be able to give up your seat if season ticket holder can’t make it.

Lower tier 1 always looks a little sparse at the front rows but that’s because they tend to gather in a group a few rows back.
There were some spaces yesterday but probably not as bad as some think/thought.

Agree. It was great that we actually managed to sell 10500 seats (assume the attendance is based on sold seats, and not turnstile clicks?). However, plenty of empty seats...I am guessing weather may have kept some folk away on the day of the game but moving forward, with our increasing popularity, sorting out a system to recycle unused season ticket seats would be needed.

Brum in the railway end worked well (unless you were a brum fan). Presume they opted for this so that more fans could attend?

I get your point but we don't sell out for most games. Today was an odd one. I'm a season ticket holder in the Main Stand but live in Lincoln. In winter getting to games can be tough( today I left the house at 10 and got back at 8:30 having done a 250 mile round trip). The next game is Saturday and doing the same again is a big ask.
I have a season ticket not only because I love the club but also it guarantees me sitting next to my brother for whatever game I want.
Today was touch and go because of the weather and I decided to brave it on the day. If it had been too tough( my usual route via Woodhead Pass was closed) I might not have come but it would have been too late to tell the club. Hence the seat would have been empty but the club already has my money. So I do have sympathy but it isn't as simple as, there are empty seats, why can't the club do something about it.

Whilst there will always be situations like yours, I largely agree with Billy's point that there should be a system to recycle tickets that go unused otherwise.

We might not sell all tickets every game but we've quite often sold out the Cheadle End and Main Stand, as well as the Popside at times too, leaving only the Railway, which may put some off.

With a recycling system, those empty seats in other stands can be filled.

We're getting a new ticket provider in the summer, so this could be something that they're able to implement or may already be planning on doing so.

Agreed on all points GHB but at least the empty seats in the CE allowed you to get away from us moan standers!

Plenty of the Brummies on FB pretending they were ok today. As I said to a few of them Wycombe were head and shoulders above their lot today. Talk about CBA!
