I get your point but we don't sell out for most games. Today was an odd one. I'm a season ticket holder in the Main Stand but live in Lincoln. In winter getting to games can be tough( today I left the house at 10 and got back at 8:30 having done a 250 mile round trip). The next game is Saturday and doing the same again is a big ask.
I have a season ticket not only because I love the club but also it guarantees me sitting next to my brother for whatever game I want.
Today was touch and go because of the weather and I decided to brave it on the day. If it had been too tough( my usual route via Woodhead Pass was closed) I might not have come but it would have been too late to tell the club. Hence the seat would have been empty but the club already has my money. So I do have sympathy but it isn't as simple as, there are empty seats, why can't the club do something about it.
