Wiatchedthe game on tuesday on sky, its just as bad!ive,moved to the main stand for the cop game,the club don't seem to bothered that's a distraction, and spoiling the enjoyment of watching the game,we seem to have a management team,who couldn't care less,end of rant ,come on county sort it out

The apology was for saying the club aren’t bothered, because they did turn them down, if somebody forgot on Tuesday that’s just a mistake

We were fortunate that county attacked the CE in the second half on Sat - because it was so difficult to follow the play at the far end / the lights were still way too bright

I didn’t have the problem last Saturday, people behind me actually commented how much better it was

I only noticed in the second half as it got darker - thankfully county did most of the attacking so it didn’t stop the enjoyment

They were bright at kick-off and were dimmed for the second half, in-line with how dark it was outside.

Don't need to apologise for something that is hindering my enjoyment at edgeley park,they are not needed,surely they can sell more stationary adverts and make more money,with the right commercial staff !

You might not like them but you've no idea whether the club need them or whether they'd make more money without them.

From Block 4 of the lower tier, both I and those around me found it difficult to see what was going on right down at the other end. The ball disappeared behind the white of the advertising boards and the players all appeared to be wearing the same grey shirts. Had to wait for the replay on the scoreboard to make sure it was Will Collar scoring the first goal.

They definitely dimmed them for the two games prior, but they were back to full brightness on Tuesday.

Perhaps someone just forgot on Tuesday?

Agree stillager. Apart from being a distraction the brightness makes it hard to follow the ball along the playing surface at the far end.
The brightness needs lowering.

The Supporters Cooperative raised this issue with the Club at their meeting on Tuesday.
The Club have indicated that they will look at this issue which we thought, as you do, that currently the situation is unsatisfactory.

Pitchside advertising always used to attract more favourable tax treatment than other forms of advertising. The more advertisers, the higher the income. So digital advertising at pitch level will always be preferred over old fashioned static adverts - it’s here to stay!
Perhaps our esteemed messageboard administrator might be persuaded to petition the Club in a letter on behalf of those (named?) members who support the request to turn down the brightness to avoid impairing viewing in person & on TV to add extra weight to the co-op’s initiative?
