My 'anorak years' were spent along the main line between Carnforth and Carlisle. Every August 64-66 we bought a regional pass for 2 quid and went everywhere. Carlisle was king as the sheds were great- got thrown out a few time AIRC.The other big thing about Carlisle was the LNER locos seen there. Videos like this are truly priceless. Whilst at the time no more than a hobby today they form the historical fabric of the area. I would have loved a 9B plate when I was collecting train 'stuff'. It is a pity that from the same era we don't have clips of County action with Allchurch, Atkins Fryatt and Price.
