To be fair Aviva did send out statements, lots of them, it shows the debt quite clearly, unfortunately my dad chose to put it back in the envelope and "forget about it" The interest is compound interest which makes it worse. Just a stark warning to anyone thinking of it, I see big Martin on the other board is thinking of it and wants more info, I cannot post on there, he can PM me on here if he wants to.
