Been a while since I put pen to paper, (or fingers to keyboard to be more accurate!) so here's my latest piece.
You've got to be 45 or over to really remember Eric Webster's time at EP. A hugely important figure in the 1980's. Groundsman; youth team manager; Assistant Manager and in full control for 3 years. His role in keeping the team in the Football league with next to no resources; and spotting, developing and selling players was crucial in ensuring the continued existence of the Club at that time.
I've tried to reflect what he did, and why we owe him a huge debt. For those of (ahem!!) more mature years it will hopefully jog some memories and for those for whom 'Eric Webster' is just a name provide some background.
