The possession based approach is OK when it's a part of your game but not when it's the only part. It is supposed to sap the oppositions energy but if you don't move them around at anything more than strolling pace it won't work unless they nod off. I'm sure that we will speed up given time and look all the better for it. Whether the same players will be a part of it? I don't know
It's mentioned elsewhere that Rooney stops whatever momentum we have whilst Newby builds on it. Other than playing both I don't know what the answer is?.
Incidentally I had a look on the Bromley forum and one reckoned we were the best side they had faced whilst some Ipswich supporting mates reckoned watching us was better than watching their own lot. On Friday the Aldershot lot were saying similar and they were not the first. I sometimes think I have watched a different game but then again I am watching it from a different perspective.
